No. But then again you really don't have to pass the class. Consider this old joke my dentist tells-"Only brush the teeth you want to keep". Only do the assignments you want credit for.

Seriously though, you need to consider your personal time constraints and other commitments and weigh them against your class and educational goals. Can you pass the class without doing ALL the assignments? Yes. But let me say this: the easiest way to lower your grade and/or not pass my class is to miss assignments.

In general I do not accept late assignments for full credit and I require that all major assignments be completed in order to pass the class regardless of points. In other words if you miss a speech but still have 72% in the class, you will fail the class.
